What if…Education
Posted on: March 2, 2011If there comes to pass a long-term disaster, parents and other adults may have to take on the education of children. For those who home school, this won’t be much of an issue of course. But, for the parents who send their kids to public or private schools, are you prepared to take on this responsibility?
How involved are you on a day-to-day basis with the education of your children? Do you know what they are learning in math right now, for example? Could you take over, if needed?
What materials do you have on hand to help with educating your children? Not just paper and pencils, how about texts and other books?
Quite often, you can find educational materials for sale on the cheap at thrift stores and used bookstores. You can also sometimes find them through local Freecycle groups.
