A few weeks ago, the good folks at BulkAmmo.com sent over a package of .40 ammo for us to test out and review. I gave it over to our firearm experts to try out. All of our firearms guys are current police officers and they used this ammo during their recent range day.

Specifically, we were given 100 rounds of .40 S&W Canned Heat Ammo by Fiocchi – 180gr FMJ.

My guys fired these rounds using several different weapons and never had a lick of trouble. Here’s what one tester had to say:

It has a good “pop” to it and seems to burn very clean. Accuracy with this round isn’t an issue as all of my rounds were hitting my target and being placed exactly where I wanted them…every time. Through all 100 rounds we didn’t have a jam, weapon malfunction attributed to the round, or a misfire. All in all, I wouldn’t hesitate using this round in the future.

Remember, these are guys whose very lives may depend upon the ammo they use in their service weapons.
