To commemorate breaking the 3,000 friends mark on Facebook, I’ve put together a quick, easy, and hopefully fun contest. First though, let’s talk prizes.

There will be two winners chosen at the end of the contest.

First place — An autographed copy of Prepper’s Home Defense, though you’ll have to wait until October to get it as it doesn’t come out until then. For the time being, I’ll send you a small grab bag of non-fiction and fiction survival books from my personal library.

Second place — An Altoids tin survival kit, with items hand-selected by yours truly.

So, how do you qualify to win? Very simple, very easy. You can qualify by doing any of the following:

1) Make a post on Facebook promoting SurvivalWeekly.com. Tell your friends you like the site and/or that our Countdown to Preparedness is an excellent resource. Be sure to tag me in your post so I know you did it.

2) Do the same on Twitter. Put @SurvivalWeekly in your Tweet so I see it. Be sure to follow me on Twitter so I can contact you via direct message if necessary.

3) Mention SurvivalWeekly.com on your blog or website. Leave a comment here or email me (Jim@SurvivalWeekly.com) so I know about it.

You’ll get one entry for doing each of those things, with a maximum of three entries per person. The deadline for entering will be midnight, CST, this Friday, August 24. I’ll pick the winners at random and announce them the following Monday.
