Plans for 2013

Posted on: December 28, 2012

Well, it has been a pretty good year for SurvivalWeekly.com. We crossed over into one million plus page views since we started the site just a couple years ago. Our Countdown to Preparedness series was wildly popular and very well received. Deborah’s new fiction, The Journal, has also gained quite a lot of rabid fans.

So, what’s next for Survival Weekly?

For starters, we’re lining up a new blogger. Sunshine Brewer is known to many as THE go to person for herbal remedies, wild edibles, and all sorts of Native American skills and wisdom. She grew up immersed in that lifestyle and still lives it today. Her book, Coast to Coast Survival Plants, is truly not to be missed!

Deborah will be continuing The Journal for the immediate future. If you’ve not read it, get caught up here. Scroll all the way to the bottom and start there, working your way up. It started back on October 19, 2012, and continues up through the present, an entry each day.

I’ve received dozens of requests to turn the Countdown to Preparedness into a book. There are indeed plans in the works to that effect. Suffice to say, it will be disappearing from the website in the near future so if you want one more look at the lessons, better do it quick.

One thing that has been lacking as of late are more book reviews on my blog, the Library at the End of the World. That’s going to change and change quickly. I plan on doing at least one book review every week this coming year. Along the way, I’m hoping to do a lot more product reviews as well.

On top of all that, I’m working out the details on a new feature to replace the Countdown to Preparedness. However it plays out, it will be designed to provide you with the practical knowledge and information you’ve come to expect from SurvivalWeekly.com.

As always, we love to hear from our readers. If there’s something you’d like to see on the site, let us know! You can use our Contact Form or just email me direct — Jim@SurvivalWeekly.com.
