In honor and celebration of National Preparedness Month, we’ve put together a fun contest that will run in September. Pick one and only one survival tip or piece of preparedness advice and share it with us. Doesn’t matter if it is wilderness survival, food storage, water purification, or even a new gadget for a kit. As long as it somehow applies to disaster planning, you’re good.

Write up your tip or suggestion in 300 words or less and send it over to me. I’ll compile all entries and post them on SurvivalWeekly.com. We’ll then invite the whole world to read through the entries and vote for their favorites. The top three vote getters win goodies!

All entries will be posted to the website on Tuesday, September 8, 2015. Entries will be numbered but no other identifying information will be shared. The general public will be invited to vote for their favorite tips by leaving a comment on the website. Votes will be collected until 11:59PM, Sunday, September 20.

Only one vote per IP address will be allowed. Stuffing the ballot box will result in the entry being disqualified.

Winners will be announced on Monday, September 21st and contacted via email.
